The city of Nice exhibits during the Nice Transition Day 238 pictures from Yann Arthus Bertrand. This exhibitions follows those of Edward Curtis "Indians from North America" (1907) and also Sebastiao Salgado "Genesis" with the purpose involving people about environment. The Yann Arthus Bertrand retrospect begins with the "Bestiaux" serial made during the famous Paris agricultural meeting. Using a sepia set like Nadar or Irwing Penn do including artificial light the photographer underlines the connection between man an animal based on respect. The Jacques Medecin space welcomes "La terre vue du ciel" some pictures realised with the help of a flying machine showing us the impact of human activity on earth. For doing these pictures Yann Arthus Bertrand has been supported by many sponsors like Air France, the UNESCO, ... The exhibition ends at the Museum of the Photography with the projection of the feature film "Legacy" and the highlighting of many pictures taken from this movie.
